YOUCOCO raided the Slovak scene that was (and still is) pre-dominantly electronic, as a breeze of straight and simple live guitar band. Their lo-fi songs are dressed in simple arrangements, which boosts their urgency. The raw guitar, extremely suitable simple rhythms, brilliant and a bit cheeky singing and catchy melodies are reminiscent of PJ Harvey, Beat Happening, Liz Phair, The Kills or even Magik Markers, while band like to label themselves humorously as ‘authentic melodic noise’. The two friends Ria (drums) and Radka (guitar/vox) started off the band originally only as ‘a leisure activity’, however, because of the duo's specific sound and drive, they quickly received attention.
